Car shipping via Ocean Freight

We were asked by our client, a local moving company, to export four cars to the Cayman Islands. Challenge accepted.

Ocean Freight - East Grinstead to the Cayman Islands

We arranged for the cars to be collected on a car transporter and moved to our facility in East Grinstead, where we sorted out all of the export paperwork with the DVLA and HMRC, once everything was in place we arranged to have 2 x 40’ ISO Shipping containers to be brought to our warehouse along with a Hi-Ab vehicle to lift the empty containers to the ground for loading, and then lift the loaded containers onto the trailers for delivery to the port.

We elevated the entrance to the containers since some of the cars had low ground clearance. Our most agile employees drove the cars into the containers, and we secured them using straps, chocks, and bumper protection to prevent any damage during transit.

After loading and sealing the containers, we placed them onto the trailers for transportation to the port. We then arranged for shipping to Grand Cayman, including customs clearance and delivery to the consignee's home, followed by unloading into their garage.
